Trish Tapper Warriner was born and raised in Port Saint Joe. She is married to David Warriner of Panama City and they share two children, Amelia 32 and Dave 27, a graduate of Florida State University with a BA in Recreation and Tourism Management.
She was raised Roman Catholic and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church in Port Saint Joe, where Trish serves on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee. She and David are the proprietors of The Port Inn & Cottages, MainStay Suites and TapRoot.

After marrying, Trish and David lived in Panama City for five years. During this time she worked briefly at Gulf Coast Community College in Lifelong Learning. She then started her family. Trish was a member of the Junior Service League and chaired Holly Fair. She has served on the Gulf Coast Community College Foundation Board, with the GCCC Wall of Honor Fundraising Campaign Team, Anchorage Children’s Home, and Girls Inc.

After moving back to Port Saint Joe, Trish succeeded her mother, Amy Tapper, as chair of the George G. & Amelia G. Tapper Foundation. Trish founded the Junior Service League and was the first President. She chaired the Sacred Heart on the Gulf Hospital Capital Campaign, served as the first President of the Sacred Heart hospital Volunteer Guild, Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida Board and on the Forgotten Coast Plein Air Art Festival committee for many years. With her tireless energy and passion for community, she chaired the Port Saint Joe Downtown Redevelopment Agency, served a term as Garden Club Vice President, and chaired the Historic Port Theatre Capital Campaign.

Trish is a 14 year Breast Cancer survivor and has worked to raise awareness and funding for the expansion and remodel of the Women’s Diagnostic Center at Sacred Heart. Trish and her family spend summers in the mountains of North Carolina at High Hampton in Cashiers. She served on the Village Green Board, a green space in the heart of Cashiers, founded the Cashiers Plein Air Art Festival and co chaired the first event after which she served on the committee for many years. She also served on the Joy Garden Tour committee. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, birding and traveling with family and friends. She has a love for animals.
